Have you ever wanted to make your own puppet? Or just want to learn more about puppet and theater propmaking? Then the Tribeca Art+Culture Night event at The Flea Theater (20 Thomas Street) may be for you. Puppetry is a form of performance that involves objects that often resemble a human or animal and are animated by a puppeteer. At this TAC Night event, prop-maker and puppeteer Leila Ben-Abdallah will show you how to design and construct your own puppet entirely from scratch. No previous puppet, prop-making, or theater experience is necessary. All materials will be provided. Open to all ages.
